Job summary

X4 Engineering, in partnership with an independent oil & gas operator, seeks a Facilities Engineer to support field operations, rotating equipment reliability, gas processing facilities, and capital projects across Four Corners assets.

This hands-on role collaborates with operations and maintenance teams to boost facility performance, reliability, and safety while guiding projects from concept through execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum Engineering or related.
• 3+ years of facilities engineering experience within upstream oil & gas.
• Experience with rotating equipment, gas processing facilities, and production infrastructure.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in both office and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead rotating equipment reliability and maintenance programs, including reciprocating compressors, pumps, and VRUs.
• Provide engineering support for compression and gas processing facilities.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and optimize facility performance.
• Manage facility upgrades and capital projects from scope through execution.
• Work closely with field operations, maintenance teams, and contractors.
• Support regulatory compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

We are partnering with an independent oil & gas operator seeking a Facilities Engineer to support field operations, rotating equipment reliability, gas processing facilities, and capital projects across producing assets in the Four Corners region.

This is a hands‑on engineering role where you'll work closely with operations and maintenance teams to improve facility performance, reliability, and safety while managing projects from concept through execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead rotating equipment reliability and maintenance programs, including reciprocating compressors, pumps, and VRUs.
• Provide engineering support for compression and gas processing facilities.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and optimize facility performance.
• Manage facility upgrades and capital projects from scope through execution.
• Work closely with field operations, maintenance teams, and contractors.

What We're Looking For
