Job summary

Walmart seeks a Journeyman Electrician, Facility Services, to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs for safe and compliant facilities. You will diagnose issues, coordinate maintenance, manage work orders, and support emergency responses to ensure operational excellence.

The role emphasizes safety and regulatory compliance across locations. Responsibilities include documenting tasks, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining vehicles and equipment per safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in the electrical trade.
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician or equivalent in state of work.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• License in related trade in city and/or state of work.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems using blueprints, manuals, and appropriate tools.
• Document maintenance activities, repair needs, and capital expense information accurately.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and coordinate with contractors to meet quality and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations as required.
• Operate and maintain vehicles and powered equipment following safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and support business priorities.
