Job summary

Trident LLC in Hampton, VA is seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician - Electrician (FMT-E) to install, maintain and repair electrical systems for our institutional facilities. The role supports the Facility Maintenance Supervisor, coordinates with outside contractors, and ensures power, lighting, and control systems operate safely and in code.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, safety audits, materials inventory, and enforcing OSHA, NEC and NFPA 70E

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; electrical apprenticeship or tech school training.
• 2–5 years of commercial/industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Strong problem-solving, safety awareness, and digital literacy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facility electrical maintenance with the Supervisor and Facility Manager.
• Enforce OSHA, NEC, and NFPA 70E safety standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Coordinate with external contractors and track work schedules.
• Maintain records, inventories, and supplier contracts.
• Respond to facility-related emergencies, including after-hours.
