Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment.
  • Repair and maintain motor control centers and programmable logic controllers (600V and below).
  • Read electrical panel schedules and adjust as required.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance at West Texas site.
  • Support launch site electrical activities and safety practices.

This is a hands-on position focused on electrical facility repair, construction, activation and preventive maintenance. Facilities include launch vehicle manufacturing, integration and test; launch Site, and launch command and control centers. This position will directly influence the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.Responsibilities:Knowledge of secondary electrical systems including performing additions or modifications on secondary circuitsRepair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instrumentsRepairs and maintains motor control centers and programmable logic controls (600 volts and below)Installs and monitors performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacementPerform work of lower level electriciansEnsures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practicesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance as directed by engineeringReads, employs, and updates electrical panel schedulesPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedAbility to continue support of Launch Site One electrical preventive and corrective maintenance including construction activities and to maintain functionality and reliability of electrical systems required for the daily operations of West Texas launch Site.Ability to read blueprintsQualifications:Texas Journeyman State License4 to 6 years of Experience as an electricianA high school diplomaCompleted electrician apprenticeshipProficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codesValid driver’s license and clean driving record (CMV certification will be required when hired)Strong safety mindset and experience, including hands-on experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operationsMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:Experience with Industrial facilities , defense or spacecraft manufacturing, or integration and testCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
