Job summary

Carowinds seeks a Facilities Electrician to inspect, install, repair, and maintain electrical systems across the site. You will handle wiring, motors, controls, drives, lighting, pumps, and power distribution with emphasis on safety and code compliance.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, and 6–8 years of related experience. Overtime, nights, weekends, and drug testing may be required per park policies.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical systems and safety procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
• Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and repair wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure codes compliance.
• Test circuits with ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes for safety and compatibility.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring based on job specs and local codes.
• Work from ladders and elevated surfaces to install or repair wiring and fixtures.
• Complete assigned work orders and log jobs in the computer system.
