Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced electrician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain facility electrical distribution systems, electronics and lighting. The role involves working with low voltage, fire alarm, and voice/data systems, following NEC and safety guidelines.

Applicants should have apprenticeship completion, 5 years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license. The position requires physical capability, ability to interpret manuals, and reliable paperwork.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Successfully completed Apprenticeship Program
• 5 years' related experience and/or training or equivalent education
• Must possess applicable certifications, licenses and a valid driver's license
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees

Responsibilities

• Installs and connects power supply wiring and conduit for lighting and equipment
• Troubleshoot and support production controls and automation components
• Diagnoses malfunctioning transformers, motors, MCC panels, VFDs and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged parts
• Maintenance of electrical distribution equipment (277/480 VAC, 120/208 VAC, 120/240 VAC)
• Replaces faulty components such as PCBs, relays, contractors, and control buttons
• Maintains building lighting and energy management system lighting
• Plans wiring layouts and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus per NEC
• Performs preventative maintenance on electrical utilities and equipment
• Maintains organized paperwork and inventory
• Other duties as assigned (General and Preventative Maintenance)
