NLR is seeking a Facilities Electrician to support electrical systems across its Golden, CO facilities. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and inspecting electrical equipment, including high- and low-voltage systems, with on-call rotations and a 40-hour work week.

The Facilities Electrician provides electrical support for electrical systems and equipment throughout NLR's research and operations facilities. Support includes troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and inspecting electrical systems and equipment. The successful candidate can expect to work on systems including but not limited to 115kV substation - 24 volts, and low voltage class indoor/outdoor electrical equipment, generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit and raceway systems, fire alarm, power metering, access control, lighting control, and CCTV. A standard work week for this role is 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. However, this team provides 24 hour/7 days a week on-call services. The successful candidate must be willing and able to participate in periodic, pre-planned, on-call rotations.

Job Profile: Facilities Tech III / Annual Salary Range: $57,900 - $95,500. NLR takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
Badging Requirement NLR is subject to Department of Energy (DOE) access restrictions. All employees must also be able to obtain and maintain a federal Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card as required by Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12), which includes a favorable background investigation.
