Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Facilities Electrical Technician for a new state-of-the-art semiconductor facility in north Phoenix. You will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical power distribution systems that support facility operations.

The technician ensures safe, reliable operation of low- and medium-voltage infrastructure including switchgear, panels, transformers, generators, and emergency power. Typical schedule is M‑F 8:00–5:00, with growth as the site expands.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial or commercial electrical maintenance experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of low‑voltage (<600V) power distribution systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical single‑line diagrams, wiring schematics, and panel schedules.
  • Proficiency with electrical test instruments and safe electrical work practices.
  • Experience using CMMS systems for work orders and documentation. Journeyman electrician license or equivalent technical certification.
  • Experience with medium‑voltage equipment (4kV–15kV) including safe switching procedures.
  • Prior experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, or data‑center environments.
  • NFPA 70E training or electrical safety certification.

Job Description


An Insight Global customer is looking to hire a Facilities Electrical Technician for a new state of the art semiconductor facility in north Phoenix. This person will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical power distribution systems that support facility operations. This role ensures the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of low‑voltage and medium‑voltage electrical infrastructure, including switchgear, panelboards, transformers, generators, and emergency power systems. The technician supports construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations to ensure all electrical systems meet safety codes, performance expectations, and site reliability standards. This is a full-time opportunity with our customer, and you can expect a compensation range of $30-$39/hr. Exact compensation may vary depending on years of experience and education. Shift schedule will start M-F 8 AM to 5 PM, but may evolve as the facility grows.
