Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for our Boise, Idaho semiconductor fab. The role focuses on maintaining and operating medium and low voltage systems up to 35kV, including switchgear, UPS units, VFDs, and controls.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, critical diagnostics, and contractor coordination to ensure uptime. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in electrical industrial/semiconductor settings, a valid journeyman license (preferred),

Qualifications

• 3 years of electrical industrial, semiconductor, or related field or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience.
• 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off).
• Preferred: Valid Electrical journeyman license.
• 5 years experience in related roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures, LOTO, and NFPA 70E standards.
• Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code NFPA70.
• Understand electrical one-line diagrams and feeder switching on switchboards with redundant feeds.
• Provide timely and detailed preventive maintenance on facilities equipment.
• Identify and respond to alarm conditions; restore equipment to service quickly.
• Coordinate work with contractors and maintain maintenance/testing/calibration records.

We have the opportunity to bring in a high-energy, tenacious, and ambitious individual with a strong work ethic and integrity to join the team.As an Electrical Maintenance Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of all the medium and low voltage systems on-site up to 35kV. This includes distribution switchgear, UPS units, dynamic UPS units, power quality systems, transformers, cable and bus systems, VFDs, and controls and monitoring systems.
