Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Promontory, Utah seeks Principal/Facilities Electrical Engineers level 2 or 3. Design power, controls, and instrumentation per the NEC; develop detailed cost estimates; troubleshoot and specify equipment; utilize AutoCAD; work on robotics, PLCs, servo drives, HVAC.

This full-time role offers a 9/80 schedule, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to work on advanced aerospace systems.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering with emphasis in electrical/automation.
Industrial power and control design experience.
PLC systems and design experience.
AutoCAD drafting ability.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Designs power, controls, and process instrumentation per the NEC, including hazardous classified locations.
Provide detailed cost estimates for project design and implementation.
Troubleshoot industrial electrical equipment.
Develop electrical maintenance guidelines for industrial equipment.
Integrate and specify electrical equipment for robotics, PLCs, servo drives, instrumentation and HVAC equipment.
Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to control processes, machine tools, and robotics.
Expertise to develop electrical schematics that are logical, well-organized, and require few redlines.
Design, specify, and program variable frequency drives for motor control applications.
CNC machine knowledge and specifying.
Work with maintenance craftsmen to troubleshoot.
Project management and cost estimating.
Provide Detailed Project Designs in AutoCAD drawing format.
