Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Principal/Facilities Electrical Engineers levels 2 or 3 in Promontory, Utah. The role focuses on electrical design for industrial facilities, PLCs and robotics, with a 9/80 schedule and strong opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with an emphasis in electrical/automation.
• 2 years minimum or 0 with a Master’s degree in industrial facility electrical design experience.
• Industrial power and control design experience.
• PLC systems and design experience.
• AutoCAD drafting ability.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security Clearance
• Ability to work in the field, climb ladders, work outside, and work in congested areas.

Responsibilities

• Designs power, controls, and process instrumentation per the NEC, including hazardous classified locations.
• Provide detailed cost estimates for project design and implementation.
• Troubleshoot industrial electrical equipment.
• Develop electrical maintenance guidelines for industrial equipment.
• Integrate and specify electrical equipment for robotics, PLCs, servo drives, instrumentation and HVAC equipment.
• Work with maintenance craftsmen to troubleshoot.
• Project management and cost estimating.
• Provide Detailed Project Designs in AutoCAD drawing format.
