Job summary

Abbott is seeking an on-site Facilities and EHS Manager in Caguas, PR to lead the maintenance and environmental health and safety programs for the Structural Heart site. You will manage facilities staff, budget, contracts, and compliance with FDA, OSHA, and other regulations, while supporting cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in engineering with 6+ years in facilities/maintenance leadership, and strong English/Spanish communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years in an Engineering or operational role with facilities/maintenance management experience.
• Basic knowledge of applicable US regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop facilities policies and practices.
• Oversee maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime.
• Direct space allocations, moves, and facilities construction/maintenance.
• Hire, train, and motivate facilities staff and contractors.
• Review and approve facilities contracts and vendor qualifications.
• Develop and monitor facilities budgets.
• Support QMS/EMS and regulatory requirements.
• Lead EHS and Facilities staff to ensure regulatory compliance.
