Job Summary

The Facilities Director has the ultimate responsibility for the operation of all service lines at the facility, and serves as the Single Point of Contact for our client, Texas A&M Galveston University. The Facilities Director is in charge of all matters relating to the Plant Operations Maintenance, Grounds and Custodial Services Departments. The Facilities Director formulates policies and directs operations of the facility. Director fosters and maintains an environment where safety is first, always. This position will support an Education account.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop and recommend department operating budget and ensures the departments operates within budget
2. Coordinate Plant operations and maintenance activities with other departments
3. Actively communicate with administration to ensure client satisfaction
4. Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and supervise functions and activities of the department
5. Establish and implement policies and procedures for departmental operations
6. Encourage and mentor staff creativity and foster innovation
7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies
8. Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans
9. Training and development of all staff members
10. Inspect facilities constantly to ensure quality control procedures are utilized
11. Assist in developing/revising annual budgets
12. Maintains direct contact with varying levels of administration including the direct client and/or vendors, as business needs warrant
13. Ensures facility’s strategic objectives are defined and achieved
14. Ensures company capital assets are secured and maintained in first class working condition

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Prior experience in Facilities Management supporting an Education account preferred
2. Minimum four year college degree highly preferred
3. Experience with central plant operations and maintenance
4. Experience with P&L accounts
5. Excellent written & verbal communication skills
6. Extraordinary customer service and quality attitude
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objective
