Job summary

Hebrew SeniorLife seeks a Facilities Director to oversee maintenance, housekeeping and security for the campus. You will supervise the Facilities Department, develop policies, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local codes and inspections.

This on-site role requires coordinating with other departments, scheduling preventive maintenance, and leading safety training to safeguard residents and staff. Strong leadership and budget oversight are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required.
• 5 years experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting and HVAC.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and OSHA guidelines.
• 1–2 years management/supervisory experience.
• Ability to work within budget guidelines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Facilities Department including hands-on maintenance and safety tasks.
• Survey facilities to ensure preventive maintenance, housekeeping, and security.
• Prepare for inspections by MassHousing, REAC, Randolph Building Authority and Fire Department.
• Develop and enforce facilities policies and procedures.
• Manage budgets, purchases, and vendor contracts.
• Coordinate training and in-service sessions for staff.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with codes and safety rules.
• Oversee emergency preparedness and disaster plans.
