Job summary

Morning Pointe Senior Living seeks a Maintenance Technician to support our Lexington, KY residence, implementing the Preventative Maintenance Program and performing general repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years in public facility maintenance, with strong safety knowledge and good communication skills. Flexible schedule and 24-hour pager availability are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years general maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in public facilities.
• Capable of minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC repairs.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• On-call 24-hour availability by pager.

Responsibilities

• Implement and document the Morning Pointe Preventative Maintenance Program (maintenance logs and system manuals).
• Maintain mechanical, plumbing, electrical, emergency call, sprinkler, fire alarm, and building systems.
• Perform safety inspections and monthly fire drills; conduct semiannual evacuation drills.
• Shampooing carpet, floor maintenance and bio-hazard waste handling.
• Inventory control, storing, ordering and pickup of maintenance supplies.
• Keep grounds, parking lots and driveways clean; on-call for emergencies 24 hours.
