The role oversees department budgets, policy development, and staff development, partnering with educational leaders to deliver operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Five+ years of management experience in maintenance/facilities management or other service-related field with high customer/client contact required.
• Budgeting and forecasting experience is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a changing environment.
• Proficient in Windows-based office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage department operating budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints while optimizing operational efficiency.
• Coordinate operations and maintenance activities with other departments to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
• Actively engage with clients to maintain open lines of communication and ensure satisfaction.
• Lead and coordinate all functions and activities of the department, fostering accountability and excellence.
• Establish and implement policies and procedures for departmental operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Encourage and mentor staff creativity and innovation, empowering contribution by team members toward continuous improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans, getting results, and exceeding expectations.
• Provide training and development opportunities for staff members, cultivating their professional growth and skills enhancement.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to uphold quality control procedures and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in the development and revision of annual budgets, aligning financial strategies with organization goals.
• Maintain direct communication with varying levels of administration, including clients and vendors, to address business needs promptly and effectively.
• Ensure the facility's strategic objectives are clearly defined and achieved, driving operational excellence and client satisfaction.
• Secure and maintain company capital assets in first-class working condition, optimizing their lifespan and functionality.
