Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is building an advanced semiconductor fab in Taylor, TX. We seek an experienced facilities design engineer to lead the output of 3D Revit models, 2D CAD details, and BOMs, while developing design standards and ensuring on-site execution.

As Senior Engineer Lead, you will mentor a team of 5 engineers and PMs, own BIM workflows, resolve field clashes, and drive RFIs to keep tool turn-on milestones on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline; Mechanical preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience; facilities experience in semiconductor industry preferred.
• 6+ years of MEP design with 3D CAD; Autodesk Inventor and/or Revit preferred.
• Experience working on-site with mechanical and electrical trade contractors.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5 engineers and project managers.
• Set clear performance objectives, measure and report progress, and provide means and methods for continuous process improvement.
• Oversee 3D design and utility hookup engineering.
• Provide technical ownership of BIM and virtual design workflows in ACC.
• Solve engineering design problems using standards, best known methods, and sound engineering principles.
• Develop and maintain design engineering standards and quality processes.
• Define execution and output monitoring strategies with support from Samsung expats.
• Drive execution and closure of design‑related field RFIs.
