Job summary

The City of Cape Coral, FL is seeking a Custodian to perform routine housekeeping and minor repairs in municipal buildings and facilities. You will work with minimal supervision and plan your daily duties with initiative.

Responsibilities include cleaning, basic plumbing and maintenance tasks, and reporting building conditions. A valid state driver's license is required, and a Florida license must be obtained within 30 days of hire; this position is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Involves routine and semi-routine housekeeping tasks in and around municipal buildings and facilities, including minor structural, plumbing and equipment repairs.
• This position works with minimal supervision and is required to exercise judgment and initiative in scheduling and planning the job duties.
• This work is reviewed through reports and the appearance of buildings and facilities.
• Performs other related duties as required.
