Job summary

Forsyth County is seeking a custodial staff member to perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance across county buildings. The role involves sanitizing restrooms, offices, lobbies, and common areas with attention to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include floor care, window cleaning, litter pickup, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance needs. A background check and drug screening are required; HS diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial or public facility is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, lobbies, hallways, and other public areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors; dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, counters, fixtures, and baseboards.
• Clean windows, glass doors, mirrors, blinds, and high-touch surfaces.
• Remove cobwebs and spot-clean walls, doors, and partitions.
• Empty trash and recycling bins; replace liners and dispose waste properly.
