Job summary

Methode Electronics is seeking a facilities associate to maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning building across production, office, and grounds areas. You will perform custodial tasks, light maintenance, and material-handling duties to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include floor care, restroom and office cleaning, litter removal, light repairs, HVAC/filters changes, and assisting with snow removal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift operation experience or certification required or within hire period.
• Ability to work independently across multiple facility areas.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces; clean and wash windows throughout the facility.
• Clean restrooms, production areas, and offices; cover other areas as needed.
• Empty trash, restock supplies, and maintain lunchroom areas.
• Change floor mops and mop heads; collect rags for pickup.
• Wax and refinish production floors as scheduled.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to prepare, weigh, and load scrap and materials for removal.
• Report needed repairs and perform minor repairs to fixtures and equipment.
• Inspect emergency lighting and fire extinguishers monthly.
