Job summary

Cleaning Pro Group is seeking a proactive Custodian/Maintenance Worker to keep our Austin facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained. You will perform a variety of custodial tasks and minor maintenance to support a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients.

Qualifications

• Proven custodial or janitorial experience.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely.
• Experience with basic repairs and painting preferred.
• Strong physical stamina and attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, and industrial vacuums to ensure floors and surfaces are spotless and well-cared-for.
• Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence.
• Conduct general facilities maintenance tasks such as light repairs, painting (including residential painting), and inspecting equipment to ensure operational safety.
• Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment using safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Maintain sanitation standards in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas by following established cleaning protocols.
• Support overall building upkeep by performing minor repairs or notifying maintenance teams of larger issues needing attention.
