Job summary

Steel Tech Enterprises (STE) is seeking a reliable janitorial technician to maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas in a manufacturing environment. You will perform routine cleaning, restroom sanitation, floor care, and general upkeep of common spaces according to STE standards.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, ability to operate cleaning equipment and hand/power tools, and a willingness to learn STE processes.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background and machine operating experience are helpful.
• A willingness to learn and be trained on the STE manufacturing process.
• General skills with hand and power tools.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving and attention to detail.
• The ability to multitask on a wide variety of projects.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize restrooms/bathrooms following established procedures.
• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean trash and recycling containers; replace light bulbs; refill restroom dispensers.
• Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment (buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high-pressure washers, vacuums, etc.).
• Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments.
• Follow chemical safety and SDS instructions.
• Assist in removing snow and/or debris from sidewalks and stairs.
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools as needed.
• Notify appropriate personnel when supplies are needed.
• Inform the Maintenance Manager of any problems or needs associated with equipment and facilities.
• Provide accessible and responsive custodial services as requested by STE personnel.
• Follow STE and supplier documentation and 5S procedures.
• Maintain all required documentation and safety compliance.
