Job summary

NYS Office of General Services in New York State is seeking a custodian to maintain clean facilities and restrooms, restock supplies, and support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical tasks and follow written or oral instructions.
• Reading and understanding written English is preferred.
• Preferred: Valid New York State driver's license for vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Clean buildings and facilities, including restrooms, and restock supplies.
• Move furniture and equipment as part of custodial duties.
• Replace light bulbs and wash/dust fixtures, floors, corridors, stairs, and partitions.
• Pick up and remove hazardous articles and place them in designated receptacles or appropriate locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
