Job summary

Jefferson College Arnold campus is seeking a Custodian to perform general cleaning, floor care, and related maintenance under supervision. Responsibilities include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, setting up events, and assisting maintenance staff. This is a full-time, non-exempt role with a wage of $16.84 per hour.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and six months of related experience. Employees must reside in Missouri or Illinois, per policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, waxing, scrubbing, and dusting floors and windows.
• Clean bathrooms, classrooms, hallways, offices, lobbies, entryways, elevators and other facility areas.
• Dispose of all facility garbage and recycling by transporting materials to proper disposal areas.
• Move, arrange, set-up, and tear down furniture and other event materials when required.
• Stock and organize supplies and equipment to maintain inventory cleanliness and standards.
• May provide guidance to lower level facilities positions.
• Perform other related duties of a comparable level/type as assigned.
