Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a diligent Facilities Cleaner to maintain clean, sanitized offices and public areas. This role emphasizes safety and orderly spaces, with potential tasks ranging from general cleaning to assisting with events and grounds.

Under general supervision, you will operate cleaning equipment, restock supplies, and participate in emergency cleanups while upholding professional standards and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must certify in the use of required cleaning equipment including lifts and power washers.
• Ability to understand instructions, complete basic tasks, and handle basic issues.
• Capable of lifting 50 lb alone and 100 lb with team assistance occasionally.
• Able to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, bend and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
• Compliance with safety rules when handling cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, restrooms, public areas and fixtures as instructed.
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment and related machinery.
• Move furniture, restock supplies, and dispose of trash as needed.
• Perform emergency cleanups including floods or spills.
• Occasionally assist with grounds, events, or VIP responsibilities.
• Report safety or security issues and needed repairs.
