Responsibilities

• Sweeps, washes, mops, and does general clean‑up work. Cleans restrooms and break rooms, replenishes supplies, disposes of wastepaper, and keeps building and surrounding grounds in orderly condition.
• Operates cleaning equipment when trained, maintains cleaning equipment in good repair, and may assist with cardboard bale tasks.
• Maintains sales floor and keeps aisles free of slip/trip hazards; clears sidewalks and porch of snow and ice; disposes of trash in back areas and parking lot.
• Notifies management when repairs or maintenance are needed or when supplies run low; informs front-end manager of needs for supplies.
• Aids in sanitation efforts to meet requirements, including sink trap sanitation.
• Cooperates with coworkers and superiors to ensure smooth department and store function and continually improves performance.
• Performs other duties as required by the store manager.
