Job summary

Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections is seeking a Custodian for the JCC-Nampa Facility to perform heavy cleaning across offices, classrooms, living areas, and medical spaces, and to assist in maintaining supplies and safety data sheets.

The role includes helping staff with cleaning procedures, setting up for events, and supervising contracted vendors as needed, supporting a clean and safe juvenile facility environment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to operate industrial cleaning equipment (buffers, vacuums) and perform heavy cleaning.
• Experience with heavy-duty custodial work and safety practices.
• Ability to move heavy items and repair equipment.

Responsibilities

• Heavy-duty cleaning of offices, rooms, restrooms, classrooms, living and intake areas, medical offices, gym, kitchen, and IT & admin areas.
• Assist in instructing staff in proper cleaning procedures.
• Maintain custodial supplies and MSDS information; stock paper products and cleaning supplies.
• Assist in setting up for events, moving furniture, and setting up AV equipment.
• Assist in supervision of contracted vendors when work is performed in facility.
