Job summary

AION is seeking a dedicated maintenance assistant to clean and maintain shared spaces across the property. You will handle interior and exterior cleaning, trash removal, and basic upkeep to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

You will support the maintenance team with minor repairs, safety initiatives, and on-call tasks. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous custodial, groundskeeping, or property maintenance preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain common areas, hallways, lobbies, stairwells, elevators, and restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust floors, furniture, and fixtures.
• Collect and dispose of trash, recyclables, and debris from common areas and grounds.
• Maintain outdoor areas, including sidewalks, courtyards, parking areas, and landscaped spaces.
• Remove snow, ice, leaves, and other hazards from pathways and entrances as required.
• Assist maintenance staff with minor repairs and work order support.
• Transport supplies, tools, and equipment as directed.
• Notify management of safety hazards, maintenance needs, or damages.
• Assist with move-in/move-out processes, including unit trash out and cleaning as needed.
• Provide courteous, professional service to residents, staff, and visitors.
• Respond promptly to requests for assistance within scope of duties.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
