Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Six (6) months custodian experience or equivalent.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Performs general custodial functions including cleaning offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Ensures proper handling and disposal of health & safety hazard wastes.
• Keeps knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety regulations up-to-date.
• Monitors and documents the need for minor repairs of lights, tables, faucets, drains and other equipment.
• Conducts special projects and assists with recycling activities as required.
• Provides assistance with coordinating and maintaining custodial supply inventories.
• May change light bulbs; assemble furniture; assist with painting and minor maintenance; and may perform dish washing.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
