Job summary

LAUKOA seeks a qualified Janitor to support facilities operations at Fort Meade, Maryland. The role performs routine cleaning, sanitizing, floor care, waste removal, and general custodial duties in Government facilities, ensuring clean, safe, and professional spaces in compliance with contract requirements.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior custodial experience, and the ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.
• Experience cleaning commercial/government facilities preferred.
• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and custodial equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine janitorial and custodial services in assigned facilities and work areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, hallways, common areas, breakrooms, entrances, stairways, and other spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, disinfect, and spot-clean floors and surfaces.
• Empty trash and replace liners as needed.
• Replenish restroom supplies and consumables.
• Perform floor care duties including waxing and buffing as assigned.
• Clean interior glass, mirrors, fixtures, and dispensers.
• Report damaged fixtures, unsafe conditions, or supply needs to supervision.
• Operate janitorial equipment and chemicals safely according to instructions.
• Maintain janitorial closets and work areas in a clean, safe condition.
• Respond to work orders timely and comply with requirements.
