Qualifications

• Two years or more of janitorial, custodial, or floor care experience preferred.
• Experience stripping and waxing floors strongly preferred.
• Ability to operate ride-on scrubbers, walk-behind scrubbers, buffers, and varnishing equipment.
• Ability to operate pressure washing equipment safely and effectively.
• Must meet all background, identification, security requirements for a military base.

Responsibilities

• Strip, wax, buff, and maintain floors according to established cleaning standards.
• Operate ride-on and walk-behind floor scrubbers safely and effectively.
• Use floor buffing, varnishing, and other floor care machines to maintain polished surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, wax, and perform routine cleaning of assigned areas.
• Perform pressure washing of assigned exterior surfaces, walkways, and entryways.
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, restrooms, offices, common areas, and other facility spaces.
• Inspect floors and work areas for spills or hazards and respond promptly.
• Keep custodial tools, machines, and supplies clean and reported for maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
