Job summary

Caravan Facilities Management, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning various areas, floors, windows, and restrooms, as well as restocking supplies and performing light maintenance tasks.

The role requires reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to work Monday through Friday in an on-site environment. Training hours and safety procedures are part of the job to ensure a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups.
• Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Replaces light bulbs.
• Cuts and trims grass, and shovels snow.
• Delivers messages.
• Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
• Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall.
