Job summary

Metz Environmental Services is hiring a Custodian for full-time, first-shift work Monday through Friday. The role includes cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, and common areas, with duties covering event setups and snow/ice removal as needed. Compensation starts at a wage of $15.50 per hour, with potential for daily pay options and opportunities for career advancement within a growing company community.

Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing of floors, hallways, stairwells and other facility areas
• Cleaning and refinishing gym floors as needed
• Vacuuming and shampooing rugs and carpets
• Cleaning, polishing and dusting of furniture and fixtures
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and replenishing supplies
• Washing windows, walls, mirrors and other areas
• Collecting and disposing of all waste products
• Assisting with the relocation of property
• Reporting of items requiring repair and/or replacement
• Setting up/tearing down areas needed for special events or meetings
• Shoveling/plowing snow, sanding/salting walks and steps as needed
• Picking up debris outside of building
• Working sporting events as needed
• Performing all other duties assigned by administration or the General Manager
