Job summary

Centre County Government is seeking a dependable custodial associate to maintain cleanliness across facilities. You will collect and dispose of trash, sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors, and clean furniture, bathrooms, windows, walls, and fixtures.

You will operate and maintain commercial cleaning equipment, stock supplies, assist with setting up rooms for meetings or events, secure buildings, and report major problems to the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Collects and properly disposes of trash, garbage, and recyclables.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and scrubs floors.
• Cleans furniture, bathrooms, windows, walls, and fixtures.
• Operates and maintains commercial cleaning equipment.
• Unloads and moves custodial supplies to designated locations.
• Ensures that all cleaning supplies and paper goods are adequately stocked.
• Completes and submits weekly checklists of accomplished tasks to immediate supervisor.
• Actively participates in custodial trainings.
• Assists with setting up areas for meetings/events.
• Assists in securing buildings and assuring that windows and doors are properly secured.
• Reports major problems or breakdowns to Team Lead, Cleaning Supervisor or Chief Risk Officer.
• Performs other job related duties as required.
