Job summary

The City of Bryan is hiring for a custodial and facilities maintenance role to keep City buildings clean and orderly. The position requires daily cleaning tasks, lifting, and basic upkeep across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities include restroom cleaning, trash removal, floor care, and helper tasks for events. Candidates should be at least 18 and have some custodial experience; a HS diploma is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 1 year of custodial or facilities maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms daily and replenish paper products and soap.
• Remove trash and clean wastebaskets as needed.
• Vacuum carpeted areas and mop hard surfaces daily; assist floor care as applicable.
• Clean office areas: dust, glass, phones, furniture; may use ladders.
• Move or rearrange furniture and set up rooms for events.
• Lock/unlock buildings and secure premises; report security issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of entrances and exterior areas near the building.
• Clean and disinfect drinking fountains; keep walls and doors clean.
