Job summary

English communication is required for safe operations and daily teamwork. Responsibilities include opening/closing the building, cleaning restrooms, mopping floors, dusting, and assisting with setup for meetings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
• Some positions may require a driver's license.
• CPR/AED certifications are not required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Must communicate in spoken and written English for safe operations.
• Open and close the building; prepare for daily activities and ensure security at closing.
• Maintain and clean restrooms, drinking fountains and kitchen area in a sanitary manner.
• Remove litter and waste; care for and water plants as needed.
• Sweep, mop, wax floors, vacuum carpets, and replace soap/paper products.
• Clean windows; change light bulbs and air filters.
• Set up and take down for meetings and transport equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Dust, polish furniture, and clean various surfaces; report maintenance needs.
• Perform minor repairs to facilities/equipment; ensure safety for patrons and staff.
• Operate City-owned vehicles for errands and deliveries as required.
