Job summary

Heart of Texas Goodwill is seeking a dedicated custodian to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks at Central Texas Food Bank facilities in Waco, TX. The role covers a wide range of duties from sweeping and mopping to restocking supplies and safety reporting.

The position requires reliability, teamwork, and adherence to safety and quality standards, with potential full-time/part-time hours and background check requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Experience with custodial, janitorial, or facilities maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and safe chemical handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wipe down walls, hallways, offices, break areas, entryways and restrooms.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste.
• Clean and sanitize restroom fixtures and high-contact surfaces.
• Stock restroom supplies and refill cleaning bottles.
• Wipe and sanitize break area tables, chairs, and countertops.
• Wash dishes and wipe microwaves and refrigerators in break areas.
• Ensure facility security after shifts.
• Report safety concerns to supervisor.
