Job summary

Bashor Children's Home in Goshen, Indiana is seeking a facilities maintenance team member to help keep 160 acres of grounds and buildings clean, safe, and welcoming for kids, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning entrances, classrooms, restrooms, and offices; vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and following chemical usage instructions; plus keeping the grounds tidy and assisting teammates as needed. Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm, full-time, around $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Able to pass a required background check, physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning building entrances, hallways, classrooms, restrooms, and offices.
• Vacuuming rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture periodically to remove light soil and dust.
• Dust/wipe areas such as windows, blinds, door panels, windowsills, and other wood-workings.
• Sweep, scrub, and mop floors.
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and other janitorial supplies.
• Aid in the upkeep of grounds such as plowing, mowing, and removal of trash.
• Ability to aid fellow maintenance members with additional functions.

Education
