Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a dedicated Custodian to perform routine cleaning of facilities, buildings and offices to maintain a clean and safe environment across City facilities.

You will operate custodial equipment, restock supplies, monitor safety, and assist with room setups for meetings while working various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays. CJIS certification is required, and a clean record is essential.

Qualifications

• Six months of custodial work experience.
• CJIS certification required.
• Clean criminal record; no felonies or disqualifying misdemeanors.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operates custodial equipment to sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and sanitize facilities.
• Collects and disposes of trash; keeps rest rooms and common areas clean.
• Restocks supplies and monitors inventory for timely replenishment.
• Inspects equipment for safe operation and arranges necessary repairs.
• Sets up rooms for meetings and events; moves furniture as requested.
• Maintains exterior areas and grounds around buildings as needed.
• Cleans City vehicles and performs related general care tasks.
• Supports additional trades tasks as assigned.
