City of Montclair is seeking a dependable janitorial worker to maintain cleanliness in city buildings, rooms for events, and recreational spaces. The role requires routine cleaning tasks, room setup, and ensuring facilities are ready for use by staff and the public.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED and a valid California driver’s license. A police background check is required to remain in good standing with the Montclair Police Department.

Qualifications

• Graduation from High School or G.E.D. required.
• Possession of a valid California driver's license and proof of insurability required.
• Employees must pass a police background as a condition of employment and maintain clearance to work in the Montclair Police Department.

Responsabilités

• Keep assigned buildings clean, orderly, and supplied with necessary paper articles.
• Prepare rooms for meetings or other activities.
• Vacuum, sweep, strip, and wax floors; wash windows, walls, and floors; move and arrange furniture for events.
• Check and secure all locks, doors, and windows; replenish supplies; ensure buildings are ready for use.
• Set up equipment for recreational buildings and rooms; assist with outdoor areas and restrooms.
