Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside client sites. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and reliable attendance. On-the-job training is provided; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

The position is full-time, Mon-Fri, 35 hours, with weekly pay. The job involves cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, and common areas, with occasional heavy equipment use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 6 months janitorial experience.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect surfaces.
• Clean and monitor restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrances.
• Empty trash and use compactors as needed.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners.
• Spot-clean carpets and assist with carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow the housekeeping schedule and operate heavy cleaning equipment as required.
• Other duties as assigned by scope of work or customer needs.
