Job summary

BASIS Ed, Richardson campus, is seeking a Custodian to join a bright, passionate team. The role focuses on general maintenance, repairs, and supporting school events. You will work with staff to keep facilities safe, clean, and well-maintained on a busy school site.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in facilities or building maintenance, the ability to lift 25–50 lbs, and strong communication skills. BASIS Ed offers competitive benefits and the chance to contribute to an academic community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• 2 years of facilities & building maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintenance and repairs of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety systems.
• Responds to staff requests for custodial services and equipment needs.
• Coordinates third party vendors for maintenance and large repairs.
• Maintain grounds free of litter and debris; oversee events setup.
• Assist with safety and emergency preparedness on campus.
