Job summary

Ascent Global Logistics in Belleville, Michigan, seeks a diligent custodial and facilities associate to support daily upkeep of the office, hangar, and warehouse areas.

You will perform cleaning, sanitizing, equipment operation, and routine inspections with emphasis on safety and attention to detail. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 2pm–10pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Custodial or facilities experience is beneficial but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to follow established cleaning procedures and safety practices.
• Professional communication and customer service orientation.
• Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs. and operate custodial equipment.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize office areas, conference rooms, restrooms, and high-touch surfaces.
• Maintain hangar, warehouse, and shop floors, including operation of a motorized floor scrubber.
• Perform routine sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and general interior cleaning tasks.
• Empty and replace trash and recycling receptacles throughout the facility.
• Wash interior and exterior windows as assigned.
• Conduct routine facility inspections to identify cleaning needs, safety hazards, or issues requiring escalation.
• Support internal relocation, event setups, office moves and basic furniture configuration.
• Pick up supplies from approved local vendors as requested.
• Maintain and properly store cleaning equipment and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Assist the Facilities team with other operational tasks as assigned.

What You’ll Do

You will support the day‑to‑day cleanliness, readiness and overall upkeep of the facility. This position is focused on high‑quality custodial servicing, routine inspections and operational support to ensure a safe and well‑maintained environment.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Prior custodial or facilities support experience is beneficial but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to follow established cleaning procedures and safety practices.
• Professional communication and customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast‑moving operational environment.
• Capability to read and understand cleaning instructions, safety rules, and SDS documents.
• Valid Michigan driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.; routinely up to 75 lbs. with assistance on occasion.
• Comfortable operating custodial machinery and equipment.
• Able to work in an aviation‑driven environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
• Work performed in offices, hangers, restrooms, break areas, and warehouse environments.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise, and active operational areas.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided and required where applicable.
