Job summary

Ascent Aerospace in Lake Orion, MI is seeking a janitorial associate responsible for basic facility upkeep and housekeeping. The role involves daily cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and orderly work environment at our facility.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, trash removal, cleaning solution preparation, moving furniture and supplies, and occasional snow removal. Flexibility for varied shifts and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1 year experience within janitorial work.
• U.S. Person export controls compliance required (ITAR).

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors free of debris by sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash from offices, shop floor, Rest Rooms.
• Prepare mixed water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Remove snow from entryways using snow blowers, snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals.
• Any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1 year experience within janitorial work.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Able to work varied shifts, overtime, and weekends when necessary.

• May be required to work weekends to meet department and business demands
• Work with safe manufacturing processes and understand that eyewear is mandatory in the manufacturing area.
• Knows that safety shoes are recommended in the manufacturing area
