Position Summary: The Facilities Coordinator will provide full-time support (M-F 7:30AM – 4:00PM) to Penske’s Technology & Education Center (PTEC) in Reading, PA. The individual will work with various internal and external teams to organize, prepare, and support meetings or events taking place on site. They will be responsible for opening the facility, cleanup and setup for the next day, including the management of service providers that support the building and grounds. This position is also responsible for ordering all shop and office supplies, including tooling and equipment needs identified by the team.

Major Responsibilities:
  1. Respond to internal inquiries regarding use of PTEC.
  2. Perform shop cleaning and organization for facility changeover.
  3. Opening of the facility in the morning.
  4. Manage PTEC service providers who support the facility.
  5. Assist internal customers via phone and e-mail.
  6. Handle all billing and ordering of supplies.
  7. Assist with shop administrative processes.
  8. Manage all paperwork involved in daily office procedures.
  9. Operate computer terminal / Microsoft Outlook for scheduling events.
  10. Perform other projects and tasks as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors’ degree preferred.
  2. 2 years of experience in shop administration preferred.
  3. 2 years of customer service experience.
  4. Proficient with MS Office software.
  5. Excellent phone skills.
  6. Excellent verbal communication skills.
  7. Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
  8. Work the required schedule, work at the specific location, complete employment application, and submit to background checks and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Must meet physical and mental demands to perform essential functions, with reasonable accommodations if needed.
  2. Must be able to read, communicate verbally and in writing, analyze information, and understand instructions.
  3. May be required to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs.
  4. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, and ability to focus.
