Facilities Coordinator – Greenhouse > Senior Director of Cultivation
The Senior Director of Cultivation provides primary supervision for this role, including day-to-day direction, prioritization of open items, performance management, and approval of any work that requires a management decision or expenditure. Because this position operates largely independently on site, the Senior Director of Cultivation sets priorities and the position reports progress and obstacles on a regular cadence rather than receiving continuous oversight.
This role collaborates with the Facilities, Compliance, Risk, and Finance departments, as well as with site leadership as the permanent team is assembled. Such collaboration does not create a reporting relationship outside the line described above.
The Facilities Coordinator – Greenhouse supports the Company’s greenhouse operation during an active transition period. This position closes out open health and safety items, coordinates vendors and contractors, performs and arranges general maintenance and grounds upkeep, and maintains the property to a standard that allows the greenhouse to return to safe, full operation as efficiently as possible.
The position maintains a single, organized punch list of open items with owners and target completion dates, drives that list to completion, and escalates anything requiring a management decision or spend approval. It is a hands-on role: the incumbent performs minor repairs, general handyman work, and landscaping and grounds maintenance directly, in addition to coordinating outside trades.
This is a temporary assignment established to bridge the period before the greenhouse is fully staffed. It carries no guaranteed duration and no commitment of conversion to a regular position. When permanent site staffing is complete, the responsibilities described here transition to the site team and the temporary assignment ends. Employment is at-will and may be ended by either the employee or the Company at any time, with or without notice or cause.
Maintain a single, organized punch list of open health and safety items, including a named owner and a target completion date for each item.
Drive open items to completion, following up with vendors, contractors, and site staff so that work stays on schedule and nothing stalls.
Document completed corrective work, including photographs, invoices, certifications, and inspection results, and retain the records for regulatory and insurance purposes.
Identify and escalate items that require a management decision, a spend approval, or a licensed trade, rather than attempting work outside the scope of the position.
Report safety hazards, damaged equipment, and unsafe conditions immediately, and remove or barricade hazards where it is safe to do so.
Schedule, escort, and monitor vendors, contractors, and inspectors on site during walkthroughs, inspections, quoting, and active work.
Verify that all outside personnel are signed in, badged or escorted as required, and kept out of limited-access areas unless properly authorized.
Collect and route quotes, scopes of work, certificates of insurance, and invoices to the Senior Director of Cultivation and the appropriate departments.
Confirm that completed work matches the agreed scope before the work is accepted or the invoice is approved for payment.
Perform minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and general handyman tasks — to keep the property in safe working order.
Maintain shrubs, plants, and landscaping at a safe distance from the greenhouse structure to help control pests, rodents, and other undesirable conditions, which requires regular and ongoing upkeep of the grounds.
Keep walkways, drives, yards, and exterior areas clear, drained, and free of debris and trip hazards.
Monitor building systems and equipment for proper operation and identify equipment status indicators with or without assistive tools, reporting faults for repair.
Provide regular, clear written updates to the Senior Director of Cultivation and the broader team on progress, obstacles, and any factors delaying reopening.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, vendor activity, and site access.
Complete METRC awareness training and understand how facility work , contractor access, and grounds activity can affect state traceability, limited-access areas, and secured product; take direction from Cultivation and Compliance staff before performing work in any area where plants, product, or METRC-tagged material are present.
Follow all Cannabis Compliance Board (CCB) requirements applicable to the site, including limited-access area restrictions, visitor and contractor logging, and prohibitions on recording or photographing security layout or features.
Follow all Company safety policies, including lockout/tagout, personal protective equipment, ladder and fall protection, chemical handling, and pesticide-area entry requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time, temporary, non-exempt position. The regular schedule generally follows standard site hours, but the position must be available to align with vendor, contractor, and inspection schedules, which may require early starts, evenings, or weekend work. The position may also be called in to respond to urgent facility or property issues.
