Larry Flynt’s Hustler Casino in Gardena, CA, is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to maintain a 55,000-square-foot, 24/7 operation. You will oversee HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, manage energy use, and coordinate with contractors to keep the casino running smoothly under safety rules.

The role requires reading plans, OSHA 10 certification, and a background in engineering, mechanical, or electrical trades. You may lead maintenance staff and support events while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

The 55,000-square foot, $50 million facility is open 24 hours a day: 365 days a year specializing in classic card games, with more than 80 tables ranging from Blackjack and Texas Hold’em to California Games such as Pai Gow Poker, Baccarat, Pai Gow Tiles and more. Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the oversight of the building maintenance including HVAC, boilers, hydraulic and pneumatic controls, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and electronic systems, carpentry/construction, painting etc., and general building repair, fountain maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep.
• Coordinates the grounds maintenance including sidewalks and parking lot, planter/grass, sprinkler system and signage.
• Responsible for the oversight and control of the energy management system.
• Will oversee a maintenance program for all building equipment, will maintain inventory and stock control of repair parts.
• Will assist with ordering and labelling inventory.
• Maintain records for invoices.
• The Facilities Coordinator will assist and coordinate with contractors for work on the enterprise.
• Assists with the hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, disciplining, and motivating of the Maintenance staff to ensure tasks are completed and highly efficient results are achieved.
• Ensures that all work is done with safety as a priority by using safe work procedures and following all safety rules and regulations.
• Must be familiar with the local codes to ensure compliance.
• Will be required to assist in other departments when necessary or for training purposes.
• Responsible of maintaining the emergency generator to make sure it maintains the guidelines of the Manufacturer.
• Be aware of and follow all Company Policies.
• Assist the Facilities Manager with entering and managing employee information in the HRIS system (ADP).
• Includes Holiday event coordinating and set up, special event set up inside and outside of the casino.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager and Senior Director of Maintenance.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Gardena Police Department Work Permit
• Must be available to oversee Swing and/or Grave Shifts
• Must be available to work weekends

EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING

• A High School diploma or a General Education Degree
• Education and/or training in engineering, mechanical or electrical or equivalent experience preferred.
• License or training certificate in at least 2 technical areas preferred. (Le. electrical, HVAC, boilers etc.)
• Must be able to read plans/schematics.
• Requires at minimum OSHA 10 hr. cert.

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables

• Ability to read, write, and speak in English
• Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and management
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to work on your feet for the duration of your shift.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, carrying and lifting regular1y, grasping, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination. Normal vision (or corrected to normal), including color acuity and depth perception and hearing.
• Must be able to perform safely and effectively in outdoor conditions. Includes going up ladders to mezzanine, stairs to roof and using ladders to complete tasks in offices.
• Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must be able to concentrate in an intense, fast-paced environment with numerous distractions
