Under the direction of the Supervising Building Services Engineer, this position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electric, electronic, and pneumatic control systems, including Energy Management and Building Automation Control systems.

Facilities Control Specialist
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $6,705 (Step#1) - $9,768 (Step #20) per month.

Knowledge and experience with electrical, electronic and pneumatic controls and Energy Management Systems, Programming experience with Energy Management. Knowledge of systems manufactured by Staefa/Talon, Niagara. Ability to operate tools and equipment specific to this trade. Ability to work hands on with the trade requirement. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to read and interpret written material at a level appropriate to the duties of the position. Ability to perform record keeping functions, complete work orders. Experience working in a university or large institutional setting. Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence".
Heavy work - Job involves lifting more than 40 pounds. Approximately half of the incumbent's time will be spent walking, standing, squatting, kneeling, or climbing.
