Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Construction Project Manager (Facilities Infrastructure) to drive new facility construction and renovation projects across SpaceX sites. You will work with facility engineers, designers, vendors, and internal partners to deliver projects on time and on budget.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of professional experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, or facilities management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, or an engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of professional experience in architecture, engineering, construction management and/or facilities management.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, and be a liaison to facilities projects, including construction and maintenance operations at SpaceX facilities.
• Coordinate projects to ensure vendors meet SpaceX applicable standards and codes while delivering services, materials, and craftsmanship.
• Facilitate approvals from the city, county, and government.
• Improve process planning by which construction projects are formulated, priced, approved, executed, and reviewed.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and RFP documents for vendors.
• Gather proposals from architects, engineers and contractors; assign contracts upon receipt of all proposals.
• Develop the final cost and schedule for the project, and implement controls to manage cost, schedule, and scope.
• Coordinate project implementation and track project status, including permit/inspection work.
• Transition post-construction into operations and maintenance functions; ensure maintenance plans for new equipment.
• Reconcile documentation throughout construction to maintain record documents.
• Maintain a safe work site by enforcing OSHA requirements and site regulations.
• Travel to other SpaceX sites as needed.
