Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist in development of Project Management Plans (PMP) for assigned projects.
  • Provide construction management oversight during all phases of the project.
  • Prepare reports and logs such as inspector daily reports, cost to date, estimated cost to complete.

Position Summary

JMT is seeking a project manager in the Indianapolis, IN area for an exciting opportunity to work with the federal government. The project manager will provide construction project oversight using knowledge of general engineering and construction principles and practices to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate, and execute. This position is not eligible for employer-based sponsorship, except for TN visa classification.

The salary range for this opportunity is $125,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications.

Essential Skills and Responsibilities
  • Assist in development of Project Management Plans (PMP) for assigned projects
  • Provide construction management oversight during all phases of the project
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of project schedules
  • Assist in the preparation and updating of cost estimates
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets
  • Prepare reports and logs such as inspector daily reports, cost to date, estimated cost to complete, submittals, RFI’s, etc.
  • Manage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplines
Required Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic. Willing to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Required Experience
  • 10 years’ experience as project manager of vertical construction projects
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with elevator upgrades in high-rise buildings
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architectural or a related field from an accredited program
  • Knowledgeable with CPM scheduling. Experienced with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
  • OSHA Certified
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
  • Experience working with governmental agencies at various levels
  • Knowledgeable in construction testing, inspection, and commissioning requirements
Working Conditions

Work is performed in both an office and field environment, with approximately 5% office and 95% field time. Field work involves climbing, walking, standing at construction sites, and may be outdoors in various weather conditions. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs.) may be required.
